Lynchstock 2015

One of the best things about Lynchburg is the people. I was just talking to a friend last night about the different people I have gotten to know over the course of my 7 years in the burg. As a small town guy, from the mountains of NC, I never would have imagined that I would get to know people from literally all over the world. Whether in class, at church, or just a few feet away on your residence hall, the world is right outside your door when you live in the burg.

There are few moments when you truly get a glimpse of the variety of individuals that call this place home. However, every once in a while an event or environment comes along that showcases the diversity of the people in this area. One of those is called Lynchstock.

Lynchstock is quickly becoming the premiere music and arts festival in the central Virginia area. I have had the opportunity to attend the past two years and its incredible how much the event has grown in just a short amount of time. Bands, artists, vendors, food trucks, and businesses from all over the area come together to create this unique event experience. The hype for the event this year was off the charts, and it did not disappoint. It was a fun day and I left the event that evening completely exhausted. I am excited for the future of this event and look forward to seeing it continue to grow.
