Throwback Thursday: New York City

Last week, my good buddy Brian was featured by the VSCO company for his excellent grid featuring his shots from our trip to NYC back in March of this year. Brian is an excellent photographer and well deserving of all the recognition. 

So in honor of that and Throwback Thursday, I decided to share a few of my iPhone shots from that same weekend adventure to the big apple. 

The entire trip was a last minute decision for me. My friends Junior, Roni, Brian, and Kathleen were headed to NYC because Junior was running the NYC Half Marathon. Two days before they were set to leave, Brian messaged me and told me they had an extra seat in the car if I wanted to go with them. My first response was, "Not on such short notice!". However, I slept on it for a night. The next day after encouragement from my friend Marie to be spontaneous, I decided to go. 

The gang left Charlotte, NC around 10:30 pm and picked me up in Lynchburg around 2:00 am. The rest of the trip North, Brian and I co-piloted up front, while the others slept soundly in the back. We arrived in the city around 10:00 am and after a brief time of chatting with our host for the weekend, we freshened up and set out to see the city.
