Isaac Wilson | Senior Portraits

Over the past year, I have had the privilege of spending time with the Wilson family each week. Darren, Kerri, and I led a community group of students from various colleges in the Lynchburg area. Each week the Wilsons graciously open their home and kitchen to allow students a break and time away from the demanding and crazy schedule life in college can bring.  To myself, and so many others in our group, the Wilsons have become a second family. I am very grateful for their influence in my life over this past year. More than the welcoming environment and delicious food, the Wilson’s have been a constant example of Christ’s love, and what it looks like when He is at the center of the family unit.

Darren and Kerri have one son, Isaac. It has been great getting to know him as well over the past year and celebrate with him along the way as he finishes his high school career. I was excited and honored when Darren approached me about taking Isaac’s senior portraits. We had planned to venture downtown one Sunday afternoon back in the fall. It ended up raining most of the morning and afternoon that day. We waited around hoping for a break in the rain and jumped in the car when it finally subsided.

Isaac is a talented actor and musician. He has a great personality and he certainly brought that to the shoot. I don’t think we stopped laughing the entire time. Isaac graduated from Jefferson Forest High School last week and has plans to attend Liberty University in the fall. I am excited to see how the Lord continues to use his talents and gifts to reach others for His glory.

Thank you Wilson family for opening your heart and home to me over this past year. It was truly an honor to get to be a part of Isaac’s graduation celebration in this small way.
